I Swam Across, I Jumped Across For You
So I was struggling to think of what to do for the yellow challenge at sunshine_challenge, which wasn't so easy as the ginger cats. But it ended up getting the Yellow song by Coldplay stuck in my head, so I went to the lyrics for that and ended up with a Lost drabble:
Charlie watches as Claire pushes Aaron in his stroller, shushing him, singing the song that her father used to sing to her when she was Aaron’s age. He knows she doesn’t see him; he’d been lucky to communicate with Hurley, but so far he’s been the only one.
None of it had gone down like he’d expected when he’d swum down with Desmond to turn off the transmitter blocking communications with the outside world, but he’s not sorry he did it. Claire’s home, reunited with her mother, with Aaron. It may not have happened like he hoped, like Desmond thought he saw, but Charlie’s done what he set out to do.
