Hugo and Diego had always thought it was pointless for Carmen to pray for David’s return. Yet Carmen’s patience had been rewarded; after seventeen years, David had returned to her.
When they announced that Flight 815 had been found at the bottom of the ocean, Carmen had been forced to give up the hope she had long retained. She had prayed for Hugo’s safe return, had vowed that she would never mention his diet again. Then had come the news she no longer dared expect: Hugo had survived.
They are all together this Thanksgiving; Carmen, David, Diego, Hugo. This year she finally has something to be thankful for.
