lost_in_108 prompt #37: adventure. When Juliet leaves for the island, Rachel remembers the games they used to play of going on trips to faraway lands.
They’d played the game many times when they were children; going on a trip to some faraway land, where they’d see things they had never dreamed of.
But every time Juliet and Rachel had played the adventure game, they had made the journey together.
“It doesn’t have to be that way,” Juliet had said. “I’ll talk to Dr. Alpert again, see if I can persuade him to let you come with me.”
But Rachel had shaken her head. “It’s only six months. You can tell me about it when you come back.”
Three years later, Rachel wonders whether Juliet will ever return and share her experiences with her.
