Prompt 5: Goldenrod
Historically, Goldenrod has been used as a symbol of good fortune, growth, and encouragement. Because of its ability to survive in diverse, harsh environments, Goldenrod represents good luck and a pioneering spirit (pretty fitting given its origins in the meadows and pastures of North America).

Bonus Prompt: Orange Rose

The pioneering spirit prompt immediately made me think Walker: Independence, so here is a drabble about Lucia:

It wasn’t the future that Lucia had imagined for herself; she had always believed that her brother would take over the running of the ranch once her father was no longer able to continue doing so. Now her father was dead, her brother imprisoned and awaiting hanging for the crime, and Lucia was forced to let go of the future she had once dreamed of, singing to larger venues than Hagan’s.

The ranch was her responsibility now, and she had Hoyt’s support (she’s getting past the fact that Hoyt had been the one to expose Luis’s guilt in their father’s murder; after all, Hoyt could not have let his innocent friend take the blame for a crime he had not committed, and had it not been Hoyt to expose Luis, then it would have been Deputy Augustus, who had come to the same realisation at the same time as Hoyt).

Lucia’s path may not now lie where she had always hoped that it would, but she was determined that she would make the ranch a success and honour her father’s memory.

Prompt 3: Bluebell
In the language of flowers, the bluebell is a symbol of humility, constancy, gratitude and everlasting love. It is said that if you turn a bluebell flower inside-out without tearing it, you will win the one you love, and if you wear a wreath of bluebells, you will only be able to speak the truth.

A Pretty Little Liars pre-series drabble:

Emily couldn’t remember where she’d originally heard that if you put a wreath of bluebells on someone, it would make them only able to speak the truth. Probably something her parents had said once. But it happened that she’d mentioned it to her friends once, and Alison had laughed, told Emily it was just some stupid story and she didn’t know why Emily would take it seriously.

“I know how we can find out if it’s true,” Spencer suggested after Alison had gone. “Let’s put a wreath of bluebells around her neck, see if that makes Ali tell the truth for once.”

In the end, it didn’t tell them anything, because Hanna, desperate to find out if it was true, had asked Ali a few strange questions that raised her suspicions, and Ali had thrown the wreath at Spencer in a temper.

“Obviously she didn’t want to take the chance that it would make her tell the truth,” Spencer smirked as Ali ran off. Emily watched her go, not saying anything in response to that. There was another legend she’d heard, one she hadn’t shared with her friends, where if you turned a bluebell inside out without tearing it, you would win the one you love. Emily hid her successfully turned inside out bluebell behind her back, wondering if Alison would ever notice her.

Prompt 1: Iris
They can represent faith, hope, courage, wisdom and admiration. Specific flower colors attach further meanings to the pretty blooms. Purple iris brings a message of wisdom and compliments, while a bouquet of blue iris blossoms speak of hope and faith.

Prompt 1: Hades
Hades is the god of the dead and the king of the Underworld with which his name became synonymous. Despite modern connotations of death as evil, Hades was actually more altruistically inclined in mythology; his role was often maintaining relative balance between the realms. He was often depicted as cold and stern in his judgement, and he held all of his subjects equally accountable to his laws. Above all else, Hades ensured the finality of death and that none of his subjects ever left the Underworld.

In something that fits the prompt but isn't too death-oriented, here are some icons from the Underworld arc of Once Upon a Time, including the one and only Hades himself:
